  • Enable young people to maintain the maximum level of independence, choice and control.
  • Listen and support young people to express their needs and wants.
  • Respect young people’s right to privacy.
  • Ensure young people feel able to complain without fear of retribution.
  • Engage with social workers, GP’s, family members and other care partners.
  • Assist young people to maintain confidence and self esteem.
  • Act to alleviate young people’s loneliness
